It is good to share a meal and get to know one another more.
I kept thinking about what I would want to know about people in the group, what we had in common, and ways to ‘break the ice’ into deeper conversation.
In thinking about it more,I came up with 5 Questions to discover with people in the group by the end of the time together.
So, the hope is not to answer this all in one session in a programmatic way instead casually find out the answers to these questions from each person throughout the many times we meet. This can also help us do the ‘share’ part of our mission as we share with one another.
Five Questions to discover with people in the group by the end of the time.
1. Where are you from?
2. How long have you been connected with Susanna Wesley UMC?
3. How did you get connected with Susanna Wesley UMC?
4. How would you describe your faith story?
5. What do you enjoy being involved in at Susanna Wesley UMC?
These questions and more can be asked with interest in family, occupation, recreational activities and dreams.
